No one can avoid making mistakes and suffering the consequences.

Even people with the best intentions make bad choices sometimes.

Is there any way to avoid hurting other people and ourselves?
Even when we try to do the right thing it can sometimes go wrong.
The truth is, each of us experiences this frustration no matter how hard we try to be good.
Even one of the most respected leaders in the Bible shared this struggle:
“I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.”
Romans 7:19-20

The struggle

Do you relate with that experience? Many people do make deliberate choices that are hurtful and wrong. But often we do things against our own better judgement.
It’s like we’re at war with ourselves!
The Bible identifies “sin” as the thing we can’t seem to overcome.
But listen. There is hope.

“Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.”
Romans 7:24-25

The One Who Overcomes

No matter how hard we try, we can’t seem to escape making choices that result in suffering for ourselves and others. The Bible identifies sin as the thing we struggle against and can’t seem to overcome.

Are you ready to learn more about how Jesus is the only one who has overcome sin? He did it for you!
